Ok we're not desperate but the website is growing so fast its getting harder to keep this up!!

A little background info:

We started out a few years ago as a quick solution for a neighbor to sell his house, then we adjusted to allow other neighbors to have online "garage-sales". We added more categories. More friends posted their homes. Then you guys started posting and here we are representing $100 million dollars worth of houses, cars, horses, bulldogs, and church pews.

It's fantastic. Who'd have guessed? Lately we average 10,000 hits a day- with over 500 visitors viewing about 20 pages per visit- over 7,000 pages served per day. Our server is happy. Its not overwhelming, yet. We pride ourselves on maintaining Canada4SaleByOwner.com as a lightweight, no-nonsense application.

So why are we now accepting donations? Well, we'd like to keep it free for you guys because thats how its supposed be. But the website's getting more and more busy so we've got to spend more time maintaining it which means somebody's gotta be paid and well, you get the idea. There's a lot of hands on- not just the webdesign but the image posting service, the database, the fact that A HUMAN CHECKS EACH AND EVERY AD before posting it....

We don't sell banner ads, yet. We're considering a sponsorship program... what's the difference? Well, if/when we do start posting banner ads we're going to be as strict about their relevance to the site and the cities/locations where they appear as we are about keeping our 4SaleByOwner service free. It'll clutter up the site a bit though. We're not keen on the idea.

So how about it? We're not looking to get rich. Just to throw our techs a few bones now and then. Can you help?
